Building the future of first responder strength and mobility
Place Overall
ACE 2026
The Applied Collegiate Exoskeleton (ACE) Competition is an annual event where university teams design and build lower-limb exoskeleton suits. The goal: enhance the strength and mobility of first responders through cutting-edge wearable robotics.
Teams are challenged to innovate, engineer, and compete in a series of rigorous events that test both the technology and the team behind it.
In our latest year competing at ACE (2026), hosted at McMaster University—that's us!—our team built a functional exoskeleton from scratch throughout the duration of our school year, and we placed 5th!
Technical evaluation of exoskeleton design
Comprehensive safety verification
Rapid suit removal capability test
Suit wearing and removal efficiency
Mobility test on varying surfaces
Full agility and performance test
From design review and safety checks to stair climbing and obstacle courses, our team proved what's possible with passion, teamwork, and innovation.

Join our team and help us push the boundaries of what's possible with exoskeleton technology.
